Endress+Hauser Announces New 10 Inch Coriolis Sensor

Greenwood, Indiana – Endress+Hauser, Inc. announces the PROline® Promass F 10 inch sensor, a Coriolis mass flow meter designed for applications in the petroleum industry with tanks or ship loading natural gas flow and other applications requiring most accurate measurement of large quantities.

Promass F 10 inch provides a direct mass flow measurement solution for use in areas where other measurement technologies like turbine meters, differential pressure or multipath transit time Ultrasonic measurement were previously used. Other manufacturers have introduced large Coriolis meters, but these meters have been extremely big and heavy. They are as well, very difficult and expensive to install making Coriolis an unattractive technology for these applications.

The new PROline® Promass F 10 inch sensor weighs only 880 pounds and is not more than 72.3 inches long (150# flange). Promass F offers most accurate and repeatable measurement (± 0.1% o.r. mass flow) which means improved product quality and reduced waste. The dual tube sensor has a fully-welded design which means the process fittings are welded directly to the flow splitter so there are no internal gaskets. This reduces the possibility of leakage points, ensuring process safety. Secondary containment is a standard feature providing a second line of defense and increased process safety especially for applications with toxic and hazardous liquids and gases.

Endress+Hauser is known for its unique robust Coriolis sensor designs and this know-how has been used to produce a 10 inch sensor that is immune to external forces like vibrations. The fully welded stainless steel measuring tube is constructed of 316 L and has the required hazardous area approvals.
