| Ethernet Direct releases BMS-836 8 port serial device server | ||
|
||
Taipei, Taiwan, April 3, 2007 Ethernet Direct introduces BMS-836, a 8-port high speed Serial Device Server, which provides reliable communication connection between RS-232/422/485 serial devices to an Ethernet LAN/WAN. BMS-836 ensures future network expandability in order to protect an existing hardware device investment. Ethernet Direct series of Serial Device servers work with about any device with serial connectivity instantly. BMS device server family enable serial devices connected to the IP networks. Three type of serial interfaces are supported, RS232, RS422, and RS485. Ethernet serial device server allow all three interfaces access to LAN/WAN. Communication with serial devices can be done without changing existing serial program. That can be accomplished by using virtual COM device driver installed to the host computer, or using a pair of Ethernet Serial device servers. The latter is also called serial tunneling. No extra software is required to connect two serial devices over the IP networks. BMS-136, BMS-236 and BMS-436 Reliable, cost-effective serial-to-Ethernet connectivity BMS-836 Network connectivity for groups of serial devices and provides a cost effective remote management Features The BMS-836 can be configured as a TCP Client/Server or UDP and operates in Direct IP Mode, Virtual COM Mode, and Paired Mode. Now, users can take advantage with the products ability to remotely control, monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot your equipment over a network. More information about the different configuration modes of BMS serial device servers from Ethernet Direct can be found in our website.
