eWON upgrades CD line of industrial routers
January 19, 2010, – Seamlessly integrated with many PLC programming environments, the CD line of industrial routers features fully integrated MPI/Profibus protocol support with data rates up to 12 Mbit/s for remote maintenance of S7 PLCs.

The eWON CD line is available with the following modem options: ADSL (Annex A), 3G (UMTS), 3G+ (HSDPA/HSUPA), EDGE, GPRS, ISDN, or PSTN.

The eWON 2101CD/4101CD, 2005CD/4005CD and 2104CD/4104CD products are Talk2M ready. Machine builders and OEMs as well as system integrators can use Talk2M to take full advantage of broadband or mobile Internet for remote connection to their machines and systems worldwide. As simple as a mouse click, this web connectivity service is secured by VPN and provides reliable communication at optimized cost. Several pricing models are available, including a no-charge service.

The eWON CD line of industrial routers is designed for system integrators in utilities and infrastructure projects, machine builders and OEMs. These routers offer full dial-up and Internet access to remote PLCs or automation devices through their serial and/or Ethernet port.

The CD line of industrial routers also provide a perfect platform for acquiring data for internal tags, generating alarm notifications, and buffering data in files. They additionally feature tunnelling functions for regular or permanent Internet connections.
