September 30, 2008 - Exele's TopView Write-to-Server Notification function outputs alarm-related messages to string/character tags on the server. TopView now supports outputting the alarm, return to normal, and acknowledge messages to string or character tags on the OPC or PI Server. These messages can then be monitored, historized, and displayed by any client that has access to the underlying OPC or PI Server.sends alarm notification messages through email, SMS, pagers, and cellular phones.

Schedule Delay
Store email notification messages and send them once the recipient’s schedule is active Each recipient in an email recipient group has a "schedule" setting. If the schedule of the recipient is not active when an email notification message should be sent (time of alarm, return to normal, ...), you can now instruct TopView to queue these emails and send them once the schedule is again active.

Direct-to-pager notification
Call pagers directly and send numeric notification messages Modem Notification can now be used to deliver numeric messages directly to pagers. This is equivalent to dialing a pager phone number and entering a numeric message using the phone keypad.

Acknowledge on return-to-normal
Automatically acknowledge alarms when they return-to-normal Normally, a tag/row becomes unacknowledged when it enters an alarm state and remains unacknowledged after it returns to normal. A new option allows a monitored point to be automatically acknowledged when it returns to normal from an alarm state.

Voice annunciation and text-to-speech technology allow delivery of audible alarm messages over the phone or computer's speakers. Write-to-server notification stores alarm and related messages to string tags in the underlying OPC or PI Server.TopView software is a powerful, yet easy-to-configure, alarm, notification, and remote monitoring tool for Process and Automation data & System Performance and Network Ping Response data.

Process and Automation data: TopView OPC/SCADA, and TopView PI/Rockwell FactoryTalk Historian System Performance data: TopView PerfMon for Microsoft Windows System Performance and Network Ping Response.

Remote access and acknowledge is supported though dial-in phone, networked PCs, and Windows Mobile devices.
