January 9, 2012 - EyeVision image processing software by EVT supports the XIMEA ATOM based smart camera (Currera) and all other PC cameras by XIMEA for the interfaces USB, FireWire and Camera Link. So the user has more possibilities when it comes to the hardware selection and the image processing applications.
With this porting the powerful and compact smart camera based on PC Technology with all software commands such as ChipControl, EyeSolar, EyeScan 3D etc. is now available. To realize multiple head applications, the USB cameras by XIMEA can be connected directly to the PC camera.
In addition, also the integrated WebServer of the EyeVision software runs on theXIMEA camera. Therefore the user can create an optimized web interface with every HTML editor for any application and edit it with every computer connected to the network. The user is therefore spared the tedious GUI development and the user can generate a web site quite easily to have an appropriate interface for the application.
EyeVision 2.5UR offers the user a unified software solution for all hardware components. The EyeVision 2.5 UR supports not only the EyeVision sensors ES8xx and ES900 and the ES smart cameras 1xxx, 2xxx, 4xxx but also PC systems with the camera interfaces GigE, USB 2.0 and FireWire (IEEE 1394 A/B), Camera Link cameras and also analog cameras for selected frame grabber.
Furthermore the EyeVision software with its drag-and-drop user interface is an “of-the-shelf” software for all users and can be launched even without previous knowledge or programming experiences. To get used to the software EVT offers the prospective user the possibility to download the test version of the EyeVision software from the homepage.
What is more, the EyeVision 2.5UR convinces by revised high performance algorithms, which guarantees the user an even faster image processing e.g. highspeed contour correlation. For example the contour correlation tool KeyMatch allows the user to detect any object any time and in any position.
