January 17, 2012 — The electric toothed belt axis ELGA-TB-G is the ideal solution for applications where loads need to be fed externally, or where a simple plain-bearing guide with a rigid profile will do the trick. For applications where work pieces are guided externally, using an axis with plain-bearing guide is more cost-effective than an electric axis with recirculating ball bearing guide.
The electric toothed belt axis ELGA-TB-G has a flexible motor attachment and is compatible with all common stepper and servo motors. The motor can be mounted on any of four sides and its position can be changed at any time. The axis delivers high feed forces and achieves travel speeds of up to 5 m/s as well as acceleration of up to 50 m/s².
PositioningDrives sizing software helps a user reliably select the right axis, while the FCT Configuration Tool ensures convenient and easy commissioning. The toothed belt axis ELGA-TB-G with plain-bearing guide comes in three sizes and offers a maximum working stroke of 8,500 mm.
