Fluke Introduces Next Generation of VoltAlert™ Testers

Fluke Introduces Next Generation of VoltAlert™ Testers
EVERETT, Wash. – Fluke Corporation, the world’s leading supplier of handheld test and measurement equipment, has introduced a new generation of its VoltAlert pocket-sized ac voltage detectors, designed to enable users to quickly test for energized circuits and defective grounds on the factory floor, in the shop or at home. The Fluke 1AC-II VoltAlert™ and Fluke 1LAC-II VoltAlert testers feature Fluke’s VoltBeat™ continuous self-test capability, which continually scans for battery performance and circuit integrity and produces a periodic double flash indicating that the device is working properly.

With the VoltAlert, there is no need to come in contact with a bare conductor. Users simply touch the tip of the tester to a terminal strip, outlet or cord; if voltage is present, the tip of the tester glows red and the unit beeps. Fluke VoltAlert testers are CAT IV 1000 V overvoltage rated for added user protection. Voltage sensing ranges are 90 V to 1000 V ac or 200 V to 1000 V ac, depending on the model. A 20V to 90 V ac control circuit model is also available.

“Our VoltAlert customers – electricians, maintenance staff, service and safety personnel, and even homeowners – tell us that it’s become an indispensable tool,” said Jon Morrow, marketing manager of electrical products for Fluke. “By adding VoltBeat technology and CAT overvoltage protection, we think this next generation is more useful.”

The Fluke 1AC-II VoltAlert and Fluke 1LAC-II VoltAlert are available at authorized Fluke dealers for a suggested list price of US $22.95 each.
