| Grace Engineered Products Introduces The RemLive® Bracket Allowing You to "See Voltage Through the Door" | ||

[Davenport, IA: November 3, 2003] Designed to "pre-verify" that an electrical panel is de-energized before the door is open, the RemLive®/Exterior Bracket assembly provides a three phase voltage indication on the outside of an electrical panel. Electrical panels are "live until proven to be dead". If working on a "de-energized" electrical panel, electrical maintenance personnel must verify that all energy sources are isolated. The NFPA 70E requires that personnel use personnel protective equipment (PPE) when "working in areas where there are electrical hazards" (NFPA 70E 3-1). If the main isolator has been open, the panel is still considered "live", until personnel suit-up in PPE to verify the panel is de-energized. A RemLive® mounted in this bracket assembly eliminates this step. The RemLive® Exterior Bracket is available for the entire RemLive® family of voltage alerts. RemLive® provides an indication of voltage by using high intensity flashing LEDs, which make it difficult to forget that hazardous voltage is present in an electrical panel. A RemLive® mounted on the outside of an electrical panel allow personnel to "see" voltage through-the-door. Cat # R-3P-PNMT fits the 3-Phase RemLive® (R-3P). Cat # R-1P-PNMT fits the Mini-RemLive®. RemLive® Voltage Alert is available in 3-phase, Cat #: R-3P, operates from 24 to 700VAC/1000VDC. RemLive® flashes if there is 24VDC/AC minimum between any two terminals. RemLive® has built-in redundancy for reliability. The phase indicator circuit has LEDs for L1, L2, L3 & N, and is independent from the flashing circuits. Built for a 15+ year product life, RemLive® is not a substitute for proper safety procedures, but rather an added reinforcement of proper safety procedures. Mini-RemLive® is a smaller, lower cost device for single phase applications (Cat#: R-1P, operates from 24 to 460VAC/660VDC). RemLive® adds an extra layer of safety around multiple power sources, RemLive® and/or Mini RemLive® immediately detects the state and location of all the power sources within a panel. Grace Engineered Products, the manufacturer of GracePort Convenience Interfaces, brings connections from the inside to the outside of control panels. Grace provides 1000s of different combinations of cables, connectors, and outlets in NEMA 1/12/4/4X, stainless steel, and Nema 7/9 housings. All ports are clearly marked as to their function. Orders are processed on a one-piece minimum with a typical 3-5 day delivery. www.grace-eng.com |
