 Grace Engineered Products announces the GracePort™ DSX R49 Data Switch Convenience Interface to allow "outside the enclosure" programming of two communicating serial devices. When the user has completed programming (either device), he switches the GracePort™ back to "RUN" mode for normal operation. The R49 interface "sits" in between point-to-point serial devices and allows programming without disconnecting any cables. The existing communication cable is used as a "KEY" to insure proper communications. Key features: · Easy to retrofit existing installations - uses the existing serial communications cable as a "KEY". · Complete retrofit kit with (2) gender changers and (2) serial extension cables --No additional components are required. · All cables and connections are shielded for high reliability while in "RUN" mode. Phil Allen, President said, "We had a huge demand for this product. It had to be generic, foolproof, and easily retrofitted into existing applications. Safety is a priority for industrial users. Keeping the electrical enclosures closed, limits the exposure of personnel to hazardous voltages.
