HANNOVER MESSE 2007, 16 April to 20 April

  • Three leading display categories in one: process, production and building automation
  • Live automation for the first time using prototypes
  • Trend towards technologies such as "Safety & Security" and "Industrial Ethernet"

November 28, 2006 - Under the unifying umbrella of HANNOVER MESSE 2007 (the Hannover Fair) from 16 to 20 April, the Industrial Automation display area combines three international trade fairs in one: INTERKAMA+, Factory Automation and Industrial Building Automation. The range of products and services on offer encompasses all key disciplines in the field of automation - from open- and closed-loop control technology, measuring technology, electronics and electrical engineering, to mechanical engineering, robotics and networking for industrial processes, not forgetting the networking of production with automation components from the process periphery and buildings.

    Automation
INTERKAMA+ is the leading international trade fair for process automation. It covers everything from individual components to complete automation solutions, plus engineering and maintenance services.

Factory Automation showcases the entire range of networked automation solutions available for mechanical engineering, electronics and electrical engineering. This display focuses on live presentations featuring solutions in the area of robot-assisted automation and electrical engineering.

Industrial Building Automation underlines the importance of networking building and production automation. The display is the ideal forum for production planners, designers, developers, engineering heads, and production managers. It focuses on automation solutions for industrial production halls and buildings.

    "Live" prototypes
This year, Deutsche Messe in conjunction with the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) is launching the Application Park in Hall 17. In this special display area, visitors can experience applications and solutions first hand thanks to a range of automation prototypes. Live demonstrations from Siemens, Volkswagen and Phoenix Contact and partners showcase prime examples of production solutions. Exhibitors at the Application Park will be demonstrating customer-specific solutions.

    Topics and trends
This industry is reliant on utilizing competitive edge technology wherever possible, which is why fault-free production processes and protecting products against piracy are becoming increasingly important issues. The new special display area "Safety & Security," for example, focuses on plant and machine safety, technical protection against piracy, and industrial network security. Innovative identification technologies in production are also taking off. This is why the "Industrial Identification" competence center offers potential customers from across the entire production industry an overview of market-ready labeling and identification systems.

Complementing classical industrial communication, wireless communication is becoming increasingly important. The "Wireless Automation" display area has been created to cater for this development, and presents solutions for operating, monitoring and controlling wireless systems or for performing remote maintenance using wireless technology. The "Industrial Ethernet" special display area shows an integrated company network, combining industrial automation, development and office IT.

Demand for products for use in hygienic areas is growing all the time. As a result, the "Hygienic Design" competence center presents solutions for all types of hygienic production facilities.

"MDA - Motion, Drive & Automation," the leading trade fair for power transmission and control integrated in HANNOVER MESSE, completes the range of products and services on offer for automation. It provides a world-class range of electrical and mechanical drives, and hydraulics and pneumatics.
