  • Turkey as official Partner Country of HANNOVER MESSE 2007
  • At least 6,000 exhibitors and over 200,000 square meters of display area

October 31, 2006 - From 16 to 20 April, HANNOVER MESSE 2007 will be featuring 13 international flagship fairs for industrial technology at the same time and place at the exhibition grounds in Hannover, Germany. Together these events present a cross-section of all the latest technical innovations, trends and know-how for all the major industries. At least 6,000 exhibitors are expected to occupy a display area of over 200,000 square meters.

The core themes of HANNOVER MESSE 2007 are industrial automation, power transmission and control, energy technology, industrial subcontracting and services, cutting-edge technologies and R&D. The featured Partner Country at the upcoming show will be Turkey.

The latest technological trends for every industry
HANNOVER MESSE holds a mirror to the innovative forces at work in the many technological fields which are the driving forces of today's industrial community. Besides featuring a rich array of state-of-the-art products, the fair also puts a major spotlight on product interplay and holistic, interdisciplinary solutions. As the world's leading technology fair, HANNOVER MESSE affords a complete overview of new technologies and their place in the end-to-end industrial process chain. Thanks to the unique scope and diversity of HANNOVER MESSE, trade visitors can find complete solutions for tasks in virtually every area of industrial production - a claim that no other exhibition can assert.

The "Motion, Drive and Automation" (MDA) show held once every two years is a case in point. When it opens its doors next year, visitors will once again discover the entire spectrum of electric, mechanical and fluid power transmission in a display that embraces every aspect of industrial automation. Separate trade shows will showcase the related fields of compressed air and vacuum technology and surface treatment at HANNOVER MESSE 2007.

A brand new trade show - FM Solutions - has now joined the HANNOVER MESSE lineup. With its novel concept uniting both the supplier and user sides, FM Solutions illuminates the field of industrial facility management in a comprehensive and totally new way.

Turkey as a European business partner
With Turkey on board as its official Partner Country for 2007, HANNOVER MESSE is once again joining forces with a nation characterized by outstanding market opportunities and growth potential, innovative drive and a highly diversified industrial base. The organizers expect up to 200 Turkish exhibitors on a display area of about 6,500 square meters. The Turkish presentation will consist of a central pavilion located in Hall 26, plus numerous joint presentations staged by Turkish exhibitors in corresponding fairs taking place under the HANNOVER MESSE umbrella.

Exhibitors and visitors alike will find that HANNOVER MESSE 2007 offers the ideal setting for generating business leads and getting in touch with Turkish companies to explore cooperation and investment options. European companies are increasingly looking to Turkey as an important springboard to business in North Africa and the Middle East. As a forum for global politics and business, HANNOVER MESSE 2007 will facilitate the establishment of business and economic ties with Turkish business institutions and economic agencies. Naturally this Partner Country presentation will also serve to further consolidate and deepen the already good and long-standing trade relations between businesses in Turkey and the host nation of Germany.

Turkey's exhibition program is likely to span a diverse range of technologies and industrial sectors, with the emphasis on engineering and services in the OEM and subcontracting sectors. Other key areas that will be covered by the Partner Country display are R&D, process and building automation, energy and pipeline technologies as well as industrial facility management.

    A program with added value
Year after year exhibitors and trade fair visitors from around 65 different countries come to HANNOVER MESSE. It is an acknowledged international meeting-place for decision-makers from industry, engineering design and R&D, business and politics. The next show in April 2007 will once more afford ideal opportunities for new business leads and contacts, as well as for the transfer of know-how and expertise among users, suppliers and development engineers from around the globe. To further these objectives, HANNOVER MESSE also boasts hundreds of special events, presentations, themed displays, symposia, congresses and talks by experts to enrich each of its flagship fairs.

In addition to these technology-specific offerings, HANNOVER MESSE 2007 will also feature numerous special events of interest to the entire industrial community, e.g. the presentation of the HERMES Industry Award - the most lucrative international technology prize awarded to industry. Another highlight is the Global Business Forum in Hall 6, where international fact-finding, networking and cooperation-building are the name of the game. On a display covering approx. 2,500 square meters, service providers, trade associations, chambers of commerce, government and public bodies from around the world will demonstrate various ways in which enterprises can tap into foreign markets.
    .
Another high-profile event at the show is the World Energy Dialogue, which will take place for the second time in 2007. This discussion forum with top expert involvement will be held from 17 to 19 April 2007 in the on-site Convention Center. The conference will be devoted to the topic of energy efficiency and strategies for achieving a reliable energy mix for the future.
