HayssenSandiacre Celebrates Beginnings of Global Novus Manufacturing Initiative

October 10, 2011 —  Since March, HayssenSandiacre has been manufacturing Novus systems at its Duncan, S.C., facility as well as in the Nottingham, U.K. facility. Recognizing that its customers can be better served when the point of manufacturing is located close to the point of sale, HayssenSandiacre’s leadership team decided to expand the company’s manufacturing capabilities, implementing multi-site manufacturing of key product lines.

Mike May, president of HayssenSandiacre, realized that this initiative was important to the company’s progress in becoming an adaptable Lean organization. “This is as important and exciting as any initiative in our history,” May said. “The global growth of this product platform is important to our growth-focused sustainable business model.” May further commented that he has extended his trust and appreciation to the implementation team in both the U.S. and U.K. for implementing this with careful planning and “One Team” execution.

“The value of this strategy in specifically addressing the point of sale, support and manufacturing will have enormous competitive advantages,” added Dan Minor, vice president of sales and marketing. “The North American market demand for the Novus has reached the point to where assembling the Novus in the United States is more than justified.”
