January 15, 2012 - Q-Sys announces QR-R-160 rotary stage. By combining a direct drive servo motor with precision angular contact bearings the stage produces excellent dynamic performance with high stiffness and zero backlash.
The internal 18,000 line encoder yields resolutions as low as 0.36 arcseconds and is available with optical index marker and magnetic limit switches. Integral hardstops can also be fitted for travel limited applications.
The QR-R stage is ideally suited to applications requiring high speed free rotation, precise positioning and high load capacity with exceptionally small geometric errors. It also benefits from a 50mm through hole. When combined with QL-R linear stages it can be used to create a variety of 2D and 3D configurations, including XYѲ and RѲ.
