| Hilscher Releases PROFIBUS Cards for Rockwell Automations CompactLogix Platform |
.jpg) May 24, 2005 - Lisle IL – Hilscher North America, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of PROFIBUS cards for Rockwell Automation’s CompactLogix™ Platforms. The RIF 1769-DPM PROFIBUS Master and RIF 1769-DPS PROFIBUS Slave expands the functionality of Rockwell Automations CompactLogix platform to include PROFIBUS DP. The interface cards appear to the CompactLogix Controller as a standard I/O module and can be mapped into CompactLogix Controller with RSLogix5000™. The Master will support up to 125 slaves or 408 Input Bytes and 496 Output Bytes with complete diagnostic data. The slave provides 244 Input Bytes and Output Bytes. Both Master and Slave support PROFIBUS DPV1 functions. Complete program examples for RSLogix5000 are provided for easy and quick start-up. Both cards utilize Hilscher’s 3rd generation network configuration tool SYCON.net®.
