Honeywell honors two of its distributors

July 22, 2008 – Honeywell's Process Solutions business recognized industrial control providers Wilson-Mohr and AC Controls Company Inc. as its 2007 Distributors of the Year. These recognitions mark the first time Honeywell has honored two companies with the award, which is given annually to the company’s top-performing U.S. distributor that demonstrates significant growth in product lines and overall sales.

“Manufacturers’ needs for operating safely, reliably and efficiently continuously evolve, and they consistently rely on distributors to stay ahead of the curve with the latest process knowledge and technology,” said Revathi Advaithi, vice president of field solutions for Honeywell Process Solutions. “In evolving their product lines and educating their customers about the business benefits of new, integrated technology, Wilson-Mohr and AC Controls demonstrated superior performance in every regard.”

Honeywell distributors are measured on a quarterly basis against a series of growth objectives, including overall product lines and specific product lines such as wireless and field instrumentation. Companies are awarded points based on their performances. Both Wilson-Mohr and AC Controls earned equal points, exceeded their objectives in three of four quarters and – between the two of them – won three of the top four categories.

“It’s not enough to sell process controls or instrumentation to a customer just to make a sale,” said Dennis Floro, Wilson-Mohr president. “Process solution providers need a keen understanding of their customers’ needs to prescribe the right technology that will provide optimal results. Taking that approach leads to the best outcome for both the manufacturer and the provider.”

Sugarland, Texas-based Wilson-Mohr is a leading products and services provider to several process industries, including chemical, oil and gas, petrochemical, utility and pulp and paper. The company is certified on Honeywell’s complete product line from distributed control system (DCS) equipment to field instruments.

AC Controls, based in Charlotte, N.C., provides integration services, combustion and process control systems and distributes instrumentation controls to manufacturers in the Southeastern United States. Additionally, it owns and operates one of the region’s largest valve automation centers and employs an on-going training program to ensure technical service providers stay abreast of the latest technological advancements.

“Today’s industrial technologies are about more than just executing processes – they’re meant to drive better business by making operations more efficient while keeping plant employees safe,” said Jim Borders, AC Controls president. “Receiving this honor from Honeywell validates that AC Controls is fulfilling its duty of showing manufacturers how investing in this technology truly maximizes business results.”

Honeywell International is a $37 billion diversified technology and manufacturing leader, serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services; control technologies for buildings, homes and industry; automotive products; turbochargers; and specialty materials. Based in Morris Township, N.J., Honeywell’s shares are traded on the New York, London and Chicago Stock Exchanges. For additional information, please visit www.honeywell.com. Honeywell Process Solutions is part of Honeywell’s Automation and Control Solutions group, a global leader in providing product and service solutions that improve efficiency and profitability, support regulatory compliance, and maintain safe, comfortable environments in homes, buildings and industry.
