Honeywell releases FF-ST safety light curtains
MINNEAPOLIS, July 9, 2007 – Honeywell introduced its FF-ST Series Safety Light Curtains. Key product features have been unbundled, allowing for custom combinations at a competitive price. More than 3,000 product combinations are available. Core functionality options include safety outputs, restart modes, EDM loop options, floating blanking and muting functions. Key advantages to these products include patented push-pull safety outputs with longer cables, and floating blanking capabilities for application flexibility. The products are designed to be easily installed without the use of software, dip switch or configuration/micro card.

The FF-ST Series allows end users to build safety light curtain solutions with a variety of resolutions, scanning ranges, protective heights and function packages offered. Accessories include mounting kits, connectors, power supply and relay modules. The safety light curtains are available in Type 2 European standards, and Type 4 global standards.

Potential applications may include material handling equipment, automotive plant floor machinery and equipment for the packaging, paper, food and beverage and machine tool industry.
