Honeywell Showcases Latest Automation & Control Products and Solutions at ISA Expo 2004

Featured Products and Solutions Improve Productivity, Profitability
and Time to Market

HOUSTON, Oct. 5, 2004 - This week, Honeywell (NYSE:HON) showcases its latest products and solutions for automation and control professionals at ISA Expo 2004, the largest automation and control event in North America. Honeywell has one of the broadest portfolios of control solutions and is the only company to offer integrated security, life safety, building control and process control systems.

"Honeywell has extensive experience helping automation professionals optimize their resources and achieve their business objectives," said Jack Bolick, President Honeywell Process Solutions. "We are committed to delivering results on time and on budget, and will continue to expand our portfolio of products and services to meet the evolving needs of our customers."

Visitors to Honeywell's booth, No. 2950, will learn about numerous offerings, including:

  • Experion(tm) Process Knowledge System (PKS). This process automation system helps process manufacturers increase profitability and productivity by integrating process and business data across the entire enterprise. Experion communicates seamlessly with HART devices to provide information that improves system performance, increases process availability, safety, and throughput, and reduces life cycle costs for upgrading and maintaining smart field devices. Migration to Experion is simple, thanks to the system's functionality with previous Honeywell and other third-party systems.

  • XYR5000(tm) Wireless Transmitters. These transmitters measure and communicate process variables and asset status online without the need for wiring or external power. They give industrial users the ability to gather information about processes and assets in areas where traditional hard-wired transmitters are too costly, difficult or time-consuming to place. XYR5000 wireless solutions provide for greater asset management and greater worker productivity.

  • Lifetime Transmitters(tm) for pressure measurement and Lifetime Transmitters for temperature measurement. Honeywell's best-in-class field instruments are accurate, stable and reliable, allowing for tighter control, fewer calibrations and reduced maintenance costs. They also function at long range, reducing the number of requisite instruments and cutting inventory costs.

  • Honeywell PKS(tm) Advantage Program. This is the first collaboration between device and system suppliers that maximizes expanded data transfer capabilities available through open protocols, such as Foundation fieldbus, HART and Profibus.

Honeywell International is a $23 billion diversified technology and manufacturing leader, serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services; control technologies for buildings, homes and industry; automotive products; turbochargers; and specialty materials. Based in Morris Township, N.J., Honeywell's shares are traded on the New York, London, Chicago and Pacific Stock Exchanges.
