ICONICS, DVT Announce Cooperative Agreement

Development Agreement To Enable DVT Products for OPC

Phoenix, AZ – November 4, 2003 — ICONICS, a leader in the development of OPC connectivity and Web-enabled industrial automation and business visualization software for MicrosoftÒ WindowsÒ operating systems, along with DVT Corporation today announced a technology agreement to OPC-enable DVT products. Adding this open connectivity standard will allow DVT products to integrate with other OPC-compliant products.

OPC stands for Interoperability for Process Control, and is the fastest growing standard for the exchange of real-time manufacturing and process control data. “This cooperative agreement with ICONICS opens the OPC world to DVT,” states Bob Settle, Director of Marketing for DVT. “Our customers will benefit by the ability to bypass custom interfaces and drivers through the use of OPC.”

In this cooperative agreement, ICONICS and DVT will work together on coordinated marketing programs. All ICONICS servers conform to the latest OPC specifications for real-time data, alarms, and events, including OPC Data Access (DA) 3.0 and OPC XML DA 1.0. The ICONICS OPC ToolSuite™ is the industry’s first suite of OPC tools that integrates OPC Data Access, OPC XML, and OPC Alarm and Events in one toolkit. OPC technology allows users to connect components from different manufacturers to communicate with each other through a common protocol.
