ICONICS Introduces MachineWorX and PanelWorX for Machine Builders and OEMs

March 3, 2003 - ICONICS a leader in the development of Web-enabled industrial automation software for the Microsoft Windows operating systems, today unveiled a w focused set of products for the Microsoft Windows Embedded family of operating systems, including Windows CE, Windows CE .NET, Windows NT Embedded, and Windows XP Embedded.

ICONICS introduces two new products specifically engineered for todays machine builders, OEMs and users creating embedded systems. The ICONICS Embedded Series includes the new MachineWorX and PanelWorX products, which are specifically designed for the Microsoft Embedded Operating systems. "With the emergence of smaller and more integrated PC platforms, the need for smaller-'footprint' software applications creates a large opportunity for the Embedded machine builder and OEM market," says Russ Agrusa, ICONICS' President and CEO.

MachineWorX is an OPC-enabled, dedicated embedded HMI visualization and SCADA product, which is easy to install on the Microsoft Embedded NT and Embedded XP operating systems. Designed for todays very small PCs requiring small "memory footprints," these products are ideal for diskless systems that use flash memory and other non-volatile forms of memory. MachineWorX installs a small set of ICONICS GENESIS32 runtime components, and is specially designed for PCs running Intel® X86 processors.

PanelWorX is also an embedded OPC-enabled, HMI visualization and SCADA product targeting todays panel computers, operator interface panels, and other dedicated HMI devices. Specifically designed for the Microsoft Windows CE and CE .NET operating systems, PanelWorX adds off-the-shelf packaged software to this market where past panel HMI solutions were closed and proprietary. PanelWorX is designed for the hardware OEM seeking to integrate HMI visualization software with its Window CE and CE .NETbased products. PanelWorX has a very small memory footprint, and is designed for processors capable of running the Windows CE and CE .NET operating systems.

Embedded WebHMI is a Web-based product that delivers GENESIS32 components (and associated security, live data, etc.) to remote Web browsers. Embedded WebHMI provides the same Web-enabling functionality as the GENESIS32 WebHMI product, but the Web server runs on any Microsoft Embedded Windows platform.
