| ICONICS receives new U.S. Patents | ||

Technology Immediately Implemented into Its State-of-the-Art Automation Solutions HOUSTON, TX / ISA ‘06 – October 19, 2006 – ICONICS announces the receipt of several U.S. patents, continuing its technological leadership as an Automation Solutions Provider. Patent 7,017,116 led to ICONICS’ development of MobileHMI wireless mobile Web telephony software and Pocket GENESIS™ mobile Pocket PC industrial software. Patent 7,003,558 resulted in ICONICS’ DataWorX32 Data Aggregation and Redundancy technology. DataWorX32 is a 32-bit, multithreaded, OPC-compliant client and server application providing multiple functionality. DataWorX32 is a component of the GENESIS32 product family, and it serves as a project-level data system for GENESIS32 applications. Acting as a bridge between various OPC servers, DataWorX32 provides different OPC data channels. Once multiple I/O channels are established, DataWorX32 will switch between a primary PC (node) and a backup PC on the network. Should the primary PC become disabled, DataWorX32 can automatically switch to the backup PC. Both new patents join ICONICS’ existing patent 6,834,388, which was implemented into ActiveX ToolWorX, the industry’s first and only OPC-based ActiveX toolkit.
