 March 21, 2008 - EXTON, PA – ifm efector introduces sensors and cordsets designed and priced for factory automation applications. The efector-v Value Series product line includes inductive sensors, photoelectric sensors and cordsets. These products are designed, tested and produced to deliver high performance and value. Starting at $39.00, the efector-v inductive sensors incorporate extended sensing ranges that enable the sensor to be mounted farther away from a target preventing physical damage. The sensors are available in all standard housing styles that include M8, M12, M18, and M30 tubular housings and a standard rectangular housing. Sensors feature 360° degree LED status indication and are tested to high levels of shock and vibration. efector-v photoelectric sensors list for $69.00 and feature a robust metal housing that can retrofit traditional plastic housings. Models include high-precision background suppression sensors that eliminate the need for adjustments as target colors change. Polarized retro-reflective models offer long sensing ranges up to 4 meters and incorporate a polarizing filter that eliminates false triggers from shiny objects. efector-v cordsets start at $9.50 list price and feature a lock-in-place connection that secures the cordset to a quick disconnect sensor. This prevents the sensor from detaching in high shock and vibration environments. The cordset’s high flex, halogen-free PUR jacketed cable is rated for over 5 million flex cycles. A special insert design prevents damage to the Viton O-ring from over tightening. ifm’s new efector-v product line is manufactured with a high level of automation to insure quality throughout the manufacturing process.
