igus releases CC-Link continuous-flex cables

June 2, 2010 – igus offers a bus cable for the industrial serial field bus CC-Link system. The data transmission properties of Chainflex CFBUS.035 conform to CC-Link specifications and have been tested by the global coordinating office, CC-Links Partners Association (CLPA), in Japan. This means igus can now supply continuous-flex bus cables for all standard field bus systems (Profibus, Interbus, CAN-bus, Device Net, Profinet, Ethernet, etc.).

The 3-wire, shielded bus cable's structure and materials have both been optimized to meet the highly dynamic conditions found in cable-carrier applications. With an abrasion-proof, TPE outer jacket, a gusset-filling extruded inner jacket and an optimized short pitch length, millions of bending cycles are possible in cable-carrier systems. CFBUS.035 has an outer diameter of 0.33 inches (8.5 mm), a DESINA-conforming sheath color, and is available pre-assembled with any standard industrial connector.
