SACRAMENTO, May 30, 2008 - Inductive Automation is changing the way industrial integrators learn FactorySQL and FactoryPMI. Training videos are free to all users on the Inductive Automation web site. These flash based tutorials illustrate the ins and outs of FactoryPMI, the popular Java web-launched SCADA package, and FactorySQL, the OPC to SQL data logger and data bridge. Training videos range from three to fifteen minutes, and are streamed to your web browser with Macromedia Flash. Each video is short, intended to introduce and demonstrate a single topic. Areas of coverage range widely from: Introductions to PLC configuration in your OPC Server, SQLTags, all about Java Web Start technology, logging and graphing data from your PLC or OPC source, maintaining your SQL database, SCADA security, advantages of using industrial PCs for HMIs, to specific tutorials about scripting and advanced techniques within FactorySQL and FactoryPMI. Inductive Automation is committed to expand this free support section of their web site. "We'll keep making videos until everything is covered - and I don't see that happening anytime soon", comments an Inductive Automation support representative. "This video library will eventually enable a user to learn FactorySQL and FactoryPMI start to finish", claims an Inductive Automation salesperson. Video topics may be suggested on the official Inductive Automation online forum. |
