InduSoft remains the only HMI/SCADA software that can run on all supported Microsoft operating systems, including Microsoft Vista Austin, TX January 22, 2007 InduSoft announces support for Microsofts latest Windows operating system, Vista. HMI/SCADA users, OEMs, and systems integrators can now take advantage of the latest Microsoft security improvements and graphical capabilities. Compatibility with Vista and other Microsoft operating systems means that InduSoft Web Studio is still the only HMI/SCADA solution that runs on virtually every type of hardware in the automation and control industry. Cell phones, PDAs, embedded computers and panel computers, industrial devices, and desktop workstations with dual-core processors and high-power graphic cards that take full advantage of new features in Vista, all enjoy continued support in ways that only InduSoft delivers. End users and developers can simply add Vista capability to existing systems, explains Marcia Gadbois, VP of Business Development at InduSoft. New PC-based hardware is needed to support Vista, but existing InduSoft solutions can be transferred to the new hardware without any changes. New users can also design a solution on Vista from the outset. Because InduSoft Web Studio uses the same PC-based development system, users can configure anything from real-time, embedded controls to remote data acquisition systems and control room HMI/SCADA systems, as well as historians and database systemsall using the same development software, explains Gadbois. Using the same platform for everything simplifies and accelerates the process. And only InduSoft offers this capability. One reason InduSoft can announce Vista support so early is because InduSoft is a Gold Certified Microsoft Partner. We have been working with Microsoft since Vista was first announced under its original codename, Longhorn. says Gadbois, Long ago we made a strategic decision to partner with Microsoft, and that decision is paying big dividends to our customers today. We expect upgrades to Vista to be seamless for our customers. About InduSoft Founded in 1997, InduSoft provides a powerful family of industrial software products for developing applications in industrial automation, instrumentation, and embedded systems for all Microsoft-supported operating systems. InduSoft develops tools and technologies that empower people and companies to develop graphical interfaces for embedded PCs, PCs, and mobile devices to highly redundant systems. Today more than 20,000 InduSoft HMI, SCADA, control and data acquisition systems are operating worldwide. |
