| Ingenia-Cat releases Round Mercury servo drive controller | ||
|
||
November 2, 2009 - Round Mercury is a high performance closed-loop digital servo drive controller from INGENIA-CAT, suitable for DC brushed and brushless motors, capable of driving motors up to 200W RMS. Its design includes multiple communication ports (RS232 or CAN with hardware Node-ID), giving designers a wide choice of interfacing methods. Voltage operation range allows it to be used in industry or robotics, and its reduced size (55.88mm diameter) allows the controller to be integrated into critical-size applications. The design also includes a wide variety of self-protection mechanisms (thermal, overcurrent, under and overvoltage, etc.). Other main features are the free firmware updates and the inclusion of a motion control API for C/C++, with functions that permit easy controller operation. Thanks to its compact and round design, the Round Mercury servo drive is ideal to be embedded at the back of a motor, thus reducing wiring length and allowing for building modular, simple and high integrated motion control solutions. Main features: *Hall effect and encoder sensors (only AC brushless motors) *Hall effect sensors (only DC brushless motors) *or only encoder |
