EVERETT, Wash. and TAMPA, Fla., July 12, 2005 - Fortress Technologies' wireless security gateway, secure client software and access control server now support Intermec's CN2 and CK30 mobile computers and CV60 rugged vehicle mount terminals. Fortress software is being made available through Intermec's Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner program. Intermec customers can implement Fortress Technologies' AF2100 wireless security gateway to further ensure protected communication between Intermec wireless computers, users and the company's network infrastructure. Intermec also will offer the Fortress Access Server Control (ACS), a highly scalable, security-centric management and policy control platform that provides a single point of management for securing wireless applications and devices. The addition of Fortress Technologies to the Intermec ISV program significantly expands the security options on Intermec handheld devices, from the network level, the user level and the device. With Fortress solutions in action, Intermec device users can seamlessly roam between networks and maintain session integrity with the touch of a button. "Fortress is confident that Intermec customers will reap significant benefits from the addition of our security solutions - from increased wireless throughput to protection of present and future generations of wireless technology," said John Dow, vice president, business development at Fortress Technologies.
