Intermec Technologies Launches SmartADC(TM) for Small-to-Medium Businesses

EVERETT, Wash. - Intermec Technologies Corp. today introduced SmartADC(TM), a comprehensive collection of Intermec hardware, software and services that gives small-to-medium businesses the power to automate key processes such as inventory management, lot and serial number tracking, and shipping in a warehouse environment. The SmartADC hardware and software from Lanham Associates provide direct input from Intermec's data collection tools to Microsoft® Business Solutions' Navision's® Warehouse Management Systems, allowing companies to automate all warehouse functions, including dynamic picks, putaways, movements and cycle counts originated on the handheld device.

"The SmartADC product gives Navision users real-time inventory visibility and improved warehouse efficiencies at an astoundingly low price - the lowest I have seen," said Steve Banker, service director of ARC Advisory Group.

Because Smart ADC was developed entirely within Navision's Warehouse Management Systems, the data is housed in a single database, providing consistent and efficient access to information from any part of the system, a significant step up from the aggravations of externally designed "bolt-on" systems.

The SmartADC system includes two handheld data collection terminals, a wireless access point, a bar code label printer, two rolls of labels and one year of product service and support. Companies with Navision's Warehouse Management Systems can easily take this system from packaging to productivity in only hours.

"The Lanham RF offering is all about delivering compelling solutions that provide strong efficiencies and ROI to the middle market," said Dale Lanham, chief executive officer of Lanham Associates. "Our three-way partnership with Intermec and Microsoft makes real solutions work for these companies by delivering quick implementations, simply, with outstanding results."
