EVERETT, Wash., May 15, 2006 - The Microsoft Mobile & Embedded Developers' Conference is one powerful gathering of brainpower. Thousands of members of Microsoft's Mobile and Embedded development communities get together for in-depth technical training, hands-on technology sessions, presentations from leading experts and networking opportunities with industry peers. That's why Intermec is particularly honored that this year's conference features Intermec RFID and mobile computing gear.

Onstage keynote presentations include demonstrations of cutting-edge technology, such as the Intermec IF5 RFID reader and Intermec Developer Library RFID resource kit. The Intermec IF5 "smart" reader uses custom applications that allow it to filter information from tags, as well as monitor external sensors and control audible and visual indicators, without the expense and potential additional point of failure of a separate server "box" required by other RFID scanning solutions. As with all Intermec RFID readers, the IF5 both reads and writes to RFID tags. In addition to the IF5, MEDC US, which just concluded in Las Vegas, featured the Intermec 761, CN30, CN2B and CK61 mobile computers.

MEDC 2006 travels on - MEDC 2006 Europe opens June 5 in Nice, France, followed by Malaysia, China, Korea and Taiwan.
