August 9, 2011 - Invensys Operations Management released Foxboro PH12 Series of precision electrochemical sensors, used with popular mounting accessories to measure pH and ORP. The sensors provide unique electrode technology in the widely used 12 mm form factor, as well as fast response, long life and high accuracy and stability. The rugged, easy-to-use devices are particularly well-suited for low- and high-temperature installations, and as a low-price, disposable option, they also eliminate maintenance costs.
Product overview:
The Foxboro PH12 model is made of the most durable materials and construction available. Unlike other 12 mm pH sensors, the Foxboro model incorporates a chemical resistant PEEK body, flat membrane sensing electrode and no metallic wetted parts. These features, combined with temperature ratings of 125 C (flat glass) or 140 C (domed glass), provide unrivaled ruggedness and lengthy service life. The Foxboro Model PH12 Series Sensor has been enhanced to include biocompatibility certification, 3-A sanitary certification, plastic (Kynar and CPVC) retraction/insertion assemblies and ball valve assemblies. In addition, a standard feature of the PH12 Series is a nonmetallic solution ground, allowing for sensor diagnostics in a cost-effective platform.
Key capabilities:
- Durable PEEK body for exceptional strength and chemical resistance;
- Longer service life and better resistance to the rigors of maintenance;
- High temperature capability to 125°C greatly expands the range of applications for flat glass;
- Rugged construction extends service life in the harshest of applications;
- Non-metallic wetted parts mean immunity from most process fluids, greatly extending the service life;
- Domed glass electrodes for very wide range (-25 to +125 C) and very high temperature (140 C);
- Biocompatible and 3-A sanitary compliant, permitting for use in food, beverage, dairy and biopharmaceutical processes.
