January 22, 2009 - ITT Interconnect Solutions expanded its range of APD connectors with 1-, 7- and 51-way devices. The connectors feature an easy-locking mechanism and high sealing capabilities, making them an ideal solution for industrial automation applications where sealing against fluids is critical. The robust 1-, 7-, and 51-way APD Series connectors utilize copper alloy contacts and the connector housings are comprised of high grade PBT. The connectors feature bayonet mating and secondary contact locking, ensuring secure connector coupling, while mechanical- and color-coding provides quick, simple assembly. The connector series is available in 1- and 2-way power configurations, as well as 7 to 51 signal contact versions. The APD Series connectors are rated to 70A per contact and are sealed to IP69K approvals (IP68 sealing is also available upon request). The contacts are available in either tin or gold plating and can be stamped and formed or machined for printed circuit board applications. Wire sizes range from 0.25mm2 to 50mm2. The 1-, 7- and 51-way APD connectors meet all DIN 72585 requirements. Typical pricing for the APD Series 51-way connector is approximately $6.81 for the plug version and $8.08 for the jam nut connector. |
