| JATO announces Diaphragm Chuck with built-in air cylinder | ||

.jpg) Taichung, Taiwan, Oct. 30, 2006 — JAP100 Cylinder-Integrated Diaphragm Chuck has a built-in air cylinder and repeatability of 0.00004” (0.001mm. It becomes very easy to set up a precise chucking system by using JATO JAP100 Cylinder-Integrated Diaphragm Chuck. JAP 100’s built-in air cylinder eliminates the needs for installing an additional air cylinder in the back of the spindle, and tailor-making any air feeder. And with JAP 100’s front-mounting design, assembling a super precision chucking system has never been easier. JAP100 ensures not only easy installation and operation, but also reduced cost and risks for mistakes in pre-sales/after-sales services. JATO Precision owns advanced air cylinder technology that minimizes air leakage by the unique air containing construction and by largely decreasing the clearance between the rotary and the stationary parts of the cylinder down to 0.0004” (0.01mm). This technology allows JATO to build an open center air cylinder into the diaphragm chuck. And since the diaphragm chucks have no sliding parts to wear out, it is a commonly-known fact that the durability of diaphragm chucks is much longer than that of wedge hook air chucks. It makes JAP100 diaphragm chuck very suitable for manufacturing accuracy-critical workpieces in large quantity. The changeable jaw pad (full-circle jaw) of JAP100 diaphragm chuck is made of hardened bearing steel to provide customers with a longer jaw life.
