ROMEOVILLE, Ill. — May 6, 2008 — FleetwoodGoldcoWyard hired Jim Meier to the position of Chief Technology Officer. FleetwoodGoldcoWyard makes advanced conveyance technology and material handling equipment. Meier first joined the Barry-Wehmiller organization in 1990 and spent 17 years with Barry-Wehmiller Design Group, a premier engineering consulting services provider, where he served as Technology Partner. He was also one of the key architects and leaders responsible for the launch of the Barry Wehmiller website.

Meier briefly served as head of sales for Barry-Wehmiller International Resources, the company’s information technology and engineering services division, before returning to Design Group to oversee the firm’s rollout of Epicor and other technology initiatives. He spent the past year as CIO of Clayco, a St. Louis-based real estate development, design and construction firm. “Jim is greatly respected for his abilities to nurture talent and build strong teams that work together in a cohesive manner to serve the needs of the organization and our clients,” Ostapowicz stated. “He is a true steward of our Guiding Principles of Leadership and will continually recognize and celebrate those who exemplify the GPL within FleetwoodGoldcoWyard, much as he did as a member of the Design Group.”

Meier earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri in Columbia. He will be based at the FleetwoodGoldcoWyard operation in Loveland, Colo. He and his wife, Frankie, and their children, Hayden, Mitchell and Olivia, will be relocating from St. Louis to the Loveland area in the near future.
