| JUMO announces Wtrans for wireless temperature measurement | ||
|
||
February 23, 2007 - The wireless JUMO Wtrans temperature probe T01.G1 for a mobile and/or stationary measurement allows the wireless transmission of measured temperature values. The sensor is located in the probe grip and protected by a water-tight case. The radio frequencies used are widely inured to external perturbations and allow a transmission as well in a rough industrial ambience. The sender is conceived as an insertion probe and is available with a mounting length of 50 to 500 mm; the measuring element is a platinum-chip-resistance. Temperature range is -30°+85°C. The mounting rail receiver provides the measuring values with four analogue outputs (0(4) ±20mA, 0 ±10V) and via RS485-interface with MODBus protocol. Advantageous functions ensure a comfortable use and manifold application possibilities - e.g. in the application field of food manufacturing industry. This trend-setting radio transmission technology enables a considerable reduction of installation cost, as long connection wires in cable bound systems are mostly very uncomfortable for the applicant. For these applications wireless temperature probes offer - compared to wired solutions - effective and favourable alternatives. The wireless JUMO Wtrans Temperature measurement develops completely new application fields for the transmission of temperature data. |
