Cleveland, Ohio - May 22, 2006 - Keithley Instruments, Inc. (NYSE:KEI), a leader in solutions for emerging measurement needs, announced today that it has been awarded Electronics Magazine Asia's Innovation Award for its just-launched Model 2910 RF Vector Signal Generator. The Innovation Award, created to recognize excellence in the Asian electronics industry, was presented at the magazine's awards ceremony on April 5, 2006. The Model 2910 features an unrivaled combination of high-performance, speed, flexibility, ease of use, and compact size. Its design includes a patent-pending synthesizer, Software-Defined Radio (SDR) architecture, unique power leveling techniques, and a touch-screen user interface. The Model 2910 uses SDR architecture to perform digitally what previously was done with analog circuitry. The Model 2910 also has a unique synthesizer and a 64 Megasample (256 MB) arbitrary waveform generator for a wide range of R&D and production applications. The Model 2910 has the industry's best RF amplitude accuracy and modulation quality to improve test results, reduce false failure indications, and help prevent the shipment of defective products. Unique signal leveling results in an "industry-best" time of less than 3 ms for switching between waveforms, remote frequency tuning, and amplitude settling. Other features further improve throughput. As a result, the Model 2910 delivers high-performance measurements for the lowest test equipment investment and cost of testing. |
