January 30, 2007 - The DNP OPC Server Suite for KEPServerEX; Distributed Network Protocol (DNP) supports both serial and Ethernet drivers and provides consistent access from DNP 3.0 slave devices to a wide variety of OPC client-enabled applications. DNP is an open protocol used in applications where data integrity over minimal data bandwidth is important. It is primarily used in Power Generation & Distribution related industries but is also common in other Utility applications such as Wastewater Treatment. Features include: Vestas Wind Systems A/S, a world leader in wind turbine technology since 1979, develops robust SCADA solutions for customer applications using a combination of industry standard and proprietary communications. According to Don Betts, SCADA Specialist with Vestas Americas, North American headquarters in Portland Oregon. "We began using Kepwares OPC server software over three years ago for some of our SCADA to PLC connectivity needs and have continuously increased the usage since that time. We have found the software to be extremely stable with no production down time contributed to it." As with any of our Kepware products, a fully functional demo of the DNP Suite is available to download and evaluate. www.kepware.com/Products/products_download.as |
