Kepware releases DNP drivers for KEPServerEx

January 30, 2007 - The DNP OPC Server Suite for KEPServerEX; Distributed Network Protocol (DNP) supports both serial and Ethernet drivers and provides consistent access from DNP 3.0 slave devices to a wide variety of OPC client-enabled applications.

DNP is an open protocol used in applications where data integrity over minimal data bandwidth is important. It is primarily used in Power Generation & Distribution related industries but is also common in other Utility applications such as Wastewater Treatment.

Features include:
  • DNP 3.0 protocol Ethernet / DNP 3.0 in Level 3 implementation
  • DNP 3.0 in Level 3 implementation
  • Communication with multiple DNP devices via IP addressing
  • TCP support (events, monitor and control) - Ethernet port
  • Unsolicited messaging
  • Configuration of analog deadband
