.jpg) October 31, 2006 - Korenix Technology announces the JetCon 3301 Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter series, the most cost-effective, reliable and flexible solution to expand your network via Gigabit fiber optics. What makes a fiber media converter so important? To support mission-critical industrial applications, today's network infrastructure needs connectivity solutions that are reliable and scalable as well as secure and manageable. That is where a fiber media converter can help. The JetCon 3301Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter series is designed to convert 1000Base-T signals to 1000Base-SX/LX signals. It greatly extends the connection range of Gigabit Ethernet device to transmit & receive data via Gigabit fiber cable without performance degradation. The JetCon 3301 converter series supports jumbo packets up to 10KB, also features auto-negotiation, flow control function on RJ-45 copper port. The converters can be mounted in media chassis or as stand-alone installation. Support multi-format fiber connectors The JetCon 3301 is designed to expand your network through a gigabit fiber optic connection extending a fiber link up to 20 km (Single mode). The JetCon 3301 offers the most popular fiber cabling connectors: LC and SC formats in Multi-mode and Single mode. The JetCon 3301 supports link loss forwarding function and UTP port supports auto MDI/MDIX function. Flexible installation The converters can be installed as stand-alone on the desktop or mounted on the media converter chassis.
