.jpg) Experienced Automation Executive to Head KUKA US Operations as Company Continues North American Expansion Clinton Township, Michigan — March 5, 2007 – KUKA Robotics announced the appointment of Mr. Stuart Shepherd as President of KUKA Robotics. Mr. Shepherd’s responsibilities will include the company’s operations including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer service for the United States of America. “We are proud to have Stu join KUKA as we continue to grow our North American base," said Martin Kuhnhen, managing director of the Americas, KUKA Roboter GmbH. “With Stu’s proven experience as an automation leader we are confident that he will have a strong impact on KUKA Robotics’s business in the U.S.” Prior to joining KUKA Robotics, Mr. Shepherd was founder and president of Shepherd Solutions, a business development and management consulting firm that focused on robotic automation OEMs, system integrators, related service organizations and technical associations. Mr. Shepherd has over 27 years of international robotic automation industry experience in sales, marketing, engineering, operations management, customer service and training. Mr. Shepherd will report to Martin Kuhnhen, CEO of the Americas – KUKA Roboter GmbH. KUKA Robotics Corporation, with its parent company KUKA Roboter GmbH, Augsburg, Germany, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial robots, with an annual production volume approaching 10,000 units, and an installed base of over 75,000 units. The company’s 5 and 6 axis robots range from 3kg to 570kg payloads, and 635mm to 3700mm reach, all controlled from a common PC based controller platform.
