Lantronix Best-Selling Device Server now Designed for Harsh Environments and Industrial Protocol Support IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 24, 2006 Lantronix, Inc. (NASDAQ: LTRX) today announced the UDS1100-IAP, a new addition to Lantronix Industrial Device Networking solutions. The new UDS1100-IAP includes the award-winning features of the UDS product line with the added capability to work in extreme environments and support industrial standard communication protocols. Delivering open-standard Ethernet architecture, the UDS1100-IAP delivers the needed flexibility to communicate with virtually any type of industrial equipment. The new solution is a single-port Device Server which includes a complete built-in web server allowing end users to remotely access and manage attached equipment from a standard web browser. The UDS1100-IAP is hardened, operates within a wide-temperature range of -40ºC to +70ºC and supports industrial protocols including Modbus TCP, ASCII, RTU and DF1 to ensure device interoperability. Information collected from the UDS1100-IAP can be used directly with HMI (Human Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems found in most industrial operations. In addition, the UDS1100-IAP can also be used as a modem replacement allowing customers to replace cumbersome PCs and modem hardware with fast and reliable Ethernet-based broadband access. With the launch of the UDS1100-IAP, Lantronix is once again providing the industrial marketplace with a robust and highly reliable solution that is also quick and easy to deploy, said Mark Prowten, director of applications and solutions for Lantronix. The UDS1100-IAP allows our customers to cost-effectively network enable and remotely manage these devices via the LAN or Internet to substantially reduce down time and enable new and improved equipment service options. For more information on the new UDS1100-IAP, please visit: www.lantronix.com/device-networking/external-device-servers/uds10-iap.html You can also visit us at the ISA Conference in Houston, TX (Oct. 17-19, 2006) at our booth #1304.
