February 7, 2011 - Lantronix released the next generation of its Evolution Operating System (OS). Evolution OS 5.2 brings open standards, extensible technologies and enterprise-grade networking security to a variety of Lantronix devices, including XPort Pro and EDS 1100/2100.
The Software Development Kit (SDK) has also been updated. The SDK offers developers a flexible and sophisticated way to customize Evolution OS-based products. "Our Evolution OS-based products are extremely popular with customers and this new version includes enhancements to the firmware that were developed as a direct result of customer feedback and demand," said Daryl Miller, vice president of engineering at Lantronix. "We're excited to release Evolution version 5.2 as it will immediately help our customers build powerful solutions that enable them to save time and money." |
