November 19, 2009 - The Control Room Group announced the addition of Mary Jo Nye as business development manager focusing on the utility and process control vertical markets. “We are extremely fortunate to have a person of Mary Jo’s caliber join the Control Room Group team,” said David Jones, sales manager at AVI-SPL’s Control Room Group. “Mary Jo’s experience and expertise conducting business in the mainstream utility and process control markets will help to assure the Control Room Group’s success in this very important business segment.” “Mission critical facility personnel are facing many great challenges as new technologies change day to day operations,” said Nye. “The Control Room Group is focused on providing solutions that meet the unique requirements of integrated control room design. Utilizing our solutions and services, operations staff will have the necessary tools to improve and enhance situational awareness and reliability of their work. Before joining the Control Room Group, Nye most recently served as strategic sales director for Open Systems International, Inc. where she was recruited to increase company sales within strategic markets and designated focus areas by building a focused, high-performance team. Prior to that, Nye served as the vice president of marketing for Aegis Technologies, Inc. Nye brings more than 11 years of experience in business development and strategic planning within the electric utility industry to the Control Room Group. In addition to her duties with the Control Room Group, Nye is a member of the Sales Executive Forum and Emerging Leaders program at the University of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minn. AVI-SPL’s Control Room Group specializes in the design, integration, installation and support of 24/7/365 mission critical control room facilities. By working with more than 600 manufacturers of control room components, the Control Room Group consistently provides custom designed control room facilities utilizing common off the shelf (COTS) components that meet the unique requirements of its clients. For more than eight years, the Control Room Group has designed and built mission control room facilities for a variety of high level government, transportation, corporate and utility and process control clients. |
