Matrikon Announces new version of alarm management software

Matrikon announces the release of “ProcessGuard” version 4.0, its flagship windows-based alarm management software application. This release features interactive web reports, multi-language support, automated assessments that benchmark plant performance against ISA and EEMUA standards, as well as customized profiles so that each user can customize their reports layout.

Process plant reliability is critical to avoid industrial accidents. Ineffective Alarm Management has been linked to industrial disasters world wide, and Matrikon recognizes the need to provide effective solutions that not only improve safety, but also optimizes plant reliability. Studies have proven that the average operator faces over 150 alarms per hour. Industry standards state operators cannot effectively manage more than 6 alarms per hour.
