Matrikon™ Joins MRO Software™ Alliance Program


Edmonton, AB – May 2, 2005 - Matrikon Inc. (TSX:MTK), a leading provider of industrial intelligence solutions, today announced that it has signed an alliance program agreement with MRO Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:MROI), the leading provider of strategic asset and service management solutions. The Alliance Program is designed to bring value to asset-intensive companies through collaboration with world-class product and service partners. Under the agreement, Matrikon and MRO Software will jointly offer asset management capabilities and solutions to all industries, including the mining, oil and gas and utilities sectors.

Matrikon has 20 Maximo Certified Consultants across North America and Australia today and continues to add strength to the asset management team. As asset management capability is built in Europe, Matrikon is positioned to deliver global asset management implementations.

In addition to the many Maximo implementations, Matrikon has integrated Maximo with Matrikon applications to extend the capability of Maximo to deliver real-time asset health monitoring and condition-based maintenance solutions. Under the Alliance Program, Matrikon’s complementary solutions for real-time equipment health monitoring and condition-based maintenance will be further refined and formalized. Matrikon has also developed the Maximo RTC (Real-Time Connector) to equip Maximo with real-time data access to numerous data sources.
