| Matrikon™ Releases ProcessMORe™ V5 Featuring Improved Performance and User Control |
ProcessMORe v5 Edmonton, AB – May 3, 2005—Matrikon Inc. (TSX:MTK), a leading provider of solutions for industrial intelligence, today announced the release of ProcessMORe v5. Enhancements to the latest release include improved performance and improved configurability and reporting based on feedback from 40 client sites across Australia and North America. “ProcessMORe provides the intelligence to make and justify maintenance decisions and provides insight into the impact downtime has on production and overall performance,” said Warren Rigelsford, Matrikon Australia’s director of sales and remote operations. “Just having this reliable information available at your fingertips enables maintenance teams to measure and continuously improve maintenance performance and reduce maintenance spending.” The Downtime (Delay) reporting module captures and analyzes downtime events to support maintenance decisions, reduce planned maintenance shutdowns and unplanned breakdowns and identify problem equipment. It provides detailed availability and utilization data for the plant and individual units. Through accurate, reliable information, maintenance teams can put together action plans to address downtime causes and continuously reduce downtime impact on production. The Production reporting module captures production information for operations and accounting services to accurately plan, review and analyze production activities to align capacity and performance to corporate objectives. It provides a dashboard for benchmarking production activities and viewing quality metrics for improved decision making. Anyone, anywhere can access the information they need to make information decisions through ProcessMORe’s web-based visualization tools. The Transport module enables planning and analysis of material loading facilities. It assists in the identification of issues that cause downtime beyond the plant gates and facilitates de-bottlenecking to improve load efficiency. The Inventory module captures and records raw material inventory information for accurate production tracking and reporting. It helps to identify the linkage of various raw material grades to downtime, quality, and performance metrics.
