EDMONTON, AB. February 7, 2007, MatrikonOPC released its newest data-transfer application, MatrikonOPC File Collector. MatrikonOPC File Collector is a robust OPC client specifically designed to monitor a user-specified directory for data files and automatically import them to any OPC-compliant historian. Typically, MatrikonOPC File Collector processes Comma Separated Value (CSV) files containing value, quality and timestamp (VQTs) data points, but is flexible enough to be configured to process any text-based data file.
