March 24th, 2009 MatrikonOPC made a $1 million software donation towards the NAIT Johnson Controls Centre for Building Environment Technology (BET). This contribution was made to help strengthen the future of the Building Automation Industry. NAIT is about education for the real world, says Gilbert Requena, NAITs Chair of Power Engineering Technology. When our students enter the workforce they will be monitoring buildings from a distance. This donation of software from MatrikonOPC will ensure they know how to use the latest technology. "We are very excited about the NAIT Johnson Controls Centre for BET and are happy to contribute the technologies that will help students become successful HVAC specialists.
