July 16, 2009 - MatrikonOPC released the newest version of their OPC Server Framework. Used in all of their OPC Servers, the newest version of the MatrikonOPC Server Framework includes advanced calculation and security options. “OPC is a great standard for sharing device data with multiple applications, but copying common calculations across many software applications can take up a lot of time. It can also result in two different versions of the truth because of differences in calculation between software packages. With this release, our new OPC Servers provide the horsepower necessary to do calculations at the server level instead of the application level.
