| MatrikonOPC releases server for Honeywell TPS | ||

EDMONTON, ALBERTA, MAY 6, 2008: MatrikonOPC released a Server for the Honeywell Total Plant Solution (TPS) control system. This release significantly reduces the cost of communicating with Honeywell TPS/TDC3000 systems by eliminating the need for custom drivers or the use of expensive APP nodes to access Honeywell’s proprietary Local Control Network (LCN). The OPC server boasts an easy to use configuration wizard for fast, user-friendly setup and automatic data traffic-balancing for optimized communications. Honeywell TPS users are no longer forced to purchase the expensive Honeywell APP node to serve as a data gateway for their third-party software. With the new MatrikonOPC Server for Honeywell TPS they can now leverage any of the most common TPS hardware components such as GUS, APP, or PHD. MatrikonOPC also puts strong emphasis on ease-of-use and optimal-communication-management. For usability, a powerful, graphical wizard lets users easily click-through configuration to get them up-and-running quickly. Comprehensive, easy-to-follow, documentation and live phone support is also available to ensure users get the support they need. Communications with the Honeywell TPS are automatically optimized. If multiple LCN connections are made via different nodes, MatrikonOPC’s Server can automatically load-balance the data traffic amongst them to ensure each is not over-utilized.
