September 29, 2008 - McObject announced a partnership in which G-Tek, a software distributor and engineering firm based in Ankara, Turkey, will resell and provide integration services for McObject’s eXtremeDB real-time embedded database system and Perst open source, object-oriented embedded database system in Turkey’s fast-growing technology marketplace.
Embedded systems development is thriving in Turkey, thanks to a growing economy and targeted government investment to foster a domestic defense industry. G-Tek was founded in 2006, to capitalize on Turkey’s embedded opportunity.
Already, G-Tek’s customer list includes many of Turkey’s biggest names in defense and aerospace—and these firms’ projects can benefit from McObject’s proven, real-time embedded database technology, G-Tek Co-founder and Real Time Products Manager Ali Özdemir said
“eXtremeDB offers fast and predictable performance, reliability, sophisticated development tools, and fault-tolerance through its High Availability edition. McObject’s technology brings together the most powerful combination of features for embedded systems applications. A proven database system with these characteristics is needed in a wide range of military and aerospace applications, as well as in non-military technology,” Özdemir said.

G-Tek already provides tools and training services from McObject technology partners, including Telelogic’s Rhapsody model-driven development tool and Green Hills Software’s INTEGRITY real-time operating system (RTOS), as well as LDRA Software Technology’s analysis and testing tools. G-Tek’s consulting services include product training, design and application development.
