| Metso sells ball valves worth EUR10 million to Qatar | ||

March 30, 2007 - Metso Automation has received a valve order from Chiyoda-Technip Joint Venture formed by Chiyoda Corporation, Japan and Technip, France (CTJV). The value of the order is well over EUR 10 million, which is the biggest single valve order in the companys history. Metso Automation will deliver automated on-off ball valves to CTJV for incorporation into a major oil and gas project in Qatar where CTJV is the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor for the project. Metso Automation specializes in automation and information management application networks and systems, field control technology and life cycle performance services. Its main customers are the pulp and paper industry as well as the power, energy, and oil and gas industries. With 3,300 employees, Metso Automation operates worldwide through sales and customer support units in 34 countries across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa.
