.jpg) October 30, 2006 - MGV launches the SPH613 and SPH1013 series, the slimmest power supplies for 600 and 1,000 watts currently available on the market. Requiring an installation width of only 56 mm for 600 W and 66 mm for 1,000 W, users gain lots of extra space in their switching cabinets. These robust power supplies can be used for a full range of industrial applications, offer flexible fixings (DIN-rail or wall mounting) and thanks to the integral fan, operate in any position at temperatures of up to +70° C. The new SPH613 and SPH1013 series come with a wide input range of 3x340 - 550 VAC and are suitable for both IT and delta networks. The SPH613 supplies a highly-stable output of 24V at 25A and the SPH1013 24V at 40A. The output voltages can be adjusted between 23.5 and 28.5V. The micro-controlled Advanced Power Boost, now enhanced by MGV, provides users with comfortable padding for additional short-term power requirements. Twice the level of output current (i.e. 40 or 80A) can be maintained for 2s - either in the start-up phase or during ongoing operation. For even more power, the supplies can be switched parallel. The SUPER SLIM series SPH613 and SPH1013 have been tested according to EN60950 and UL60950 and are UL508 listed. An internal mains fuse, over-voltage and overload protection, as well as an overtemperature control with cut-off function, ensure a high level of operating safety, so that even incorrect use or failure of the fan present no risk or danger of damage to either the power supply or connected appliances. In spite of their extremely slim construction, the power supplies guarantee an immission of up to 4 kV, which is essential for industrial use. MGV offers a wide range of compact, DIN-rail power supplies with outputs of between 15 and 2,000 watts. All power supplies are developed and produced in Munich.
